Account & Data Deletion — Explore Desk
In the app: you can delete your Explore Desk account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
By email: if you’re unable to access the app, you can also request deletion by emailing us at contact@exploredesk.appwith the subject line “Account Deletion Request,” using the email address linked to your account.
What gets deleted: your account details (email address, password, sign-in information).
What is kept: any places, reviews, ratings, or photos you’ve contributed remain on the map in anonymized form — no longer linked to your name, username, or account — so the information stays useful to other users. If you’d also like your specific contributions removed rather than anonymized, mention this in your email request and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
Timeline: your account data is deleted within 30 days of your request. Some information may be retained longer where required by law (for example, records needed for legal or accounting purposes).
